A West Palm Beach, Florida three-vehicle collision sent two people to the hospital on Monday, news sources reports. Information regarding the victims' identities was not immediately available following the incident; they were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Police are currently conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident. So far, it is unclear whether charges will be filled or if anyone will file for damages.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 6:00 Monday morning at the intersection of Cresthaven Boulevard and Haverhill Road, which is regulated by a traffic light. While the details of the accident are still unclear, sources indicate that there was one two-vehicle accident and a second one-vehicle crash. The two-vehicle crash apparently did serious damage to both vehicles involved.

Reports say one victim was taken to the JFK Medical Center following the accident, while another victim was transported to the Wellington Regional Medical Center. An update on the victims' conditions was not immediately available at press time. It is currently unclear whether speed, negligence, or alcohol were factors in the collision.

Palm Beach County is no stranger to traffic accidents. According to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, there were 13,410 recorded accidents in Palm Beach County in 2010. That number was up from the previous year (there were 13,398 reported traffic crashes, sources indicate). 1,123 of the 2010 accidents involved alcohol, the FLHSMV indicates.

Some auto accidents involve only one vehicle. Emmanuel Vedrine of Fort Lauderdale was killed in a collision with a concrete light pole on Saturday, reports say. His passenger, 30-year-old Marjorie Pierre, sustained injuries and was treated at an area hospital. Vedrine, 45, died at the scene of the accident. Broward Counts Traffic Homicide detectives are currently conducting an investigation to determine what factors led to the deadly crash. So far, it is unclear whether any substances were involved.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 6:30 Saturday morning on Oakland Park Boulevard near State Road 7 in Lauderdale Lakes. Sources say Vedrine and Pierre were westbound on Oakland Park Boulevard. For reasons that are not yet known, Vedrine reportedly lost control of his car, which veered across the road and collided with a concrete light pole.

Vedrine died in the accident, sources say. Pierre was rushed to the Broward Health Medical Center; she has since been treated and released.

Some traffic accident victims aren't in vehicles at all. A Miami man was injured after he walked into the path of a bus on Friday, sources say. Information regarding the victim's identity was not immediately available following the incident. Detectives are currently conducting an investigation to determine what led to the accident. There have been no charges or citations thus far.

Reports say the accident occurred at around Friday afternoon at the corner of 13th Street and Washington in Miami Beach. Though the details are sketchy, reports say the victim walked into the path of a transit bus and was struck. The bus driver was not able to avoid the crash, sources indicate.

Sources say the victim was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital. His injuries have been deemed non-life threatening, reports say. Detectives reportedly said that the pedestrian may have been inebriated at the time of the crash.
